What to Expect During an Appointment

Booking an appointment can sometimes be a nerve-wracking experience, especially if you’re not sure what to expect. Rest assured, Dr. Julia Tzu, MD, FAAD, and her dedicated team is here to guide you through the process, every step of the way. Below, we’ll walk you through what a typical appointment with us looks like, so you can come prepared and feel at ease.

  • Initial Consultation: Your journey to healthier skin starts with an initial consultation. Dr. Tzu will listen to your concerns and assess your skin condition through a thorough examination.
  • Diagnostic Tests: Based on your initial assessment, some diagnostic tests may be recommended. These could range from skin biopsies to bloodwork.
  • Treatment Plan: Once we have a complete understanding of your skin’s needs, we’ll outline a personalized treatment plan. This could involve cosmetic procedures, medical procedures, or simply topical treatments from our skincare store. Rest assured, we’ll discuss all your options in detail, so you can make an informed decision about your skin.
  • Follow-Up Care: Your well-being is our utmost concern, which is why we also emphasize follow-up care. This will allow us to track your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.

How Long Are Initial Appointments?

Generally, initial appointments are 30 minutes. This time frame allows Dr. Tzu and her team to examine your skin, discuss your medical history, and answer any questions you may have.

By setting aside 30 minutes for your first visit, you’re investing in a skincare experience that aims for nothing less than excellence. The initial time spent helps us build a strong foundation for your future skincare journey, ensuring that we identify the best possible solutions for you.

How Much Do Appointments Cost?

We’re committed to thorough appointments that provide excellent care and produce long-lasting results. That’s why our initial appointments aren’t free—we’re doing so much more than just pleasantries.

Below, you’ll find an overview of what you can generally expect in terms of pricing for an appointment.

Wall Street Dermatology Policies

At Wall Street Dermatology, we recognize that your time is valuable and make every attempt to limit your wait time. We intentionally do not overbook our schedules to ensure you the best experience for your visit. However, to ensure this perfect experience for you, we need the cooperation of all patients to be on time for their scheduled appointments and to call the office at least 24 hours in advance for cancellations. We charge a $50 fee for appointments that are not cancelled 24 business hours in advance (ie. for Monday appointments, you must cancel by the preceding Friday).

Additional fees may apply if booking for specialized cosmetic procedures requiring additional resources or advance preparation. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we cannot guarantee that appointment and may need to reschedule you if there are other patients waiting. As in any appointment-based system, when tardiness and unannounced cancellations occur, it affects the scheduling pattern and waiting experience for everyone.

Our goal is to keep your waiting times minimal and your experience enjoyable.
